Ariel the Vocalist
Early Years
Ariel (born November 19, 1995 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida) was raised by her musically-oriented parents: her mother, Simone Bartolo – a band manager, and her father, Eldad Kira – a pianist. Ariel began to sing nearly after she began to speak; she has trained with vocal coaches Wanda Walden and Beth Cohen.
Passion for Musical Theatre
Ariel entered the world of musical-theater with a performance of Oliver in the 3rd grade. From there, Ariel captivated audiences throughout elementary and high-school, playing Rizzo in 3 different productions of Grease, Gigi in Miss Saigon, and numerous other musical-theater productions and talent shows.
Love of Rock and Roll
Ariel began guest-singing for local rock and roll bands at the age of 12 and has worked with local cover bands such as Private Stock Band, Mr. Nice Guy, and the Bobby Nathan Band. Additionally, she has sung the national anthem at two “Relay for Life” events and performed her original music at two conscious music festivals (Project Earth and Shangri-La). Ariel has recorded demo work with Jon Secada and his team of writers and she is presently in the midst of recording an original demo of her own work. Ariel’s musical influences range from the musical stylings of Rent, Spring Awakening, Wicked, Bare, and In the Heights to Christina Aguilera, Chris Cornell, Amy Winehouse, Billie Eilish, Yebba, Jeff Buckley, and Janis Joplin. At the age of 17, Ariel joined her first cover band, Roses Are Red, and since, has performed as lead vocalist in several musical projects in the local South Florida live music circuit: Soulflower (duo), Serendiptious (trio), Spank the Band, Perfect Strangers, Tone Rivers (original band), and the following tribute bands: Iconic Women of Rock, True Rumours: The Definitive Fleetwood Mac Show, Tough Cookie (A Tribute to Joan Jett and Pat Benatar), and presently, Atticca Corporate Cover Band, Meet Loaf: a Tribute to the Music of Meat Loaf and Jim Steinman, and Fleatwood Mac: A Tribute to Fleetwood Mac.
Mad for the Spirit
Considering herself a Spiritual being, Ariel has also performed in an original Kirtan band, Pranava, singing mantra. Aside from her work in the realm of music and mantra, Ariel is a Yoga-Alliance-certified RYT500 and was Vice President of the Yoga Club of Florida Atlantic University. She has trained with Kate Stiffler of Kate Yoga Studio (Wilton Manors), Juliana Trejo of Yoga 4 Life (West & East), and Ira Ohm of Zen Den Yoga School (Boca Raton); Ariel has been teaching yoga and cycle for four years at different studios, gyms, and health centers in South Florida.
The Self-Actualized Vision: The Trifecta
Adamant about achievement through academia, Ariel has received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology (Summa Cum Laude) at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) and is a Board Certified Coach (BCC) through the Center for Credentialing & Education (CCE) as a Psychosynthesis Life Coach (PLC), by the Psychospiritual Institute (PSI).
A vision for Ariel has involved integrating her worlds of academia (mind), aerobics (body), and music (spirit) into a therapeutically healing practice in which she offers her whole, unified Self in sacred service 🙏
